At the 2026 World Internet Conference Digital Silk Road Development Forum in Xi'an, Hu Jianping, vice president of the Chinese Health Information and Big Data Association, shared a forward-looking vision for digital health development.
Hu said that the goal of digital advancement is not to create a machine that is more intelligent than humans, but to build an entirely new type of human-machine relationship.
He also reviewed the progress made in recent decades, noting that China's hospitals have achieved significant results in information-driven development. These developments have markedly improved the quality and efficiency of overall medical services as well as the public's sense of gain, he noted.
The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China.
