AI for All: Building a shared digital future
In an interview at the 2026 World Internet Conference (WIC) Asia-Pacific Summit, Vice Chair of the WIC Francis Gurry said AI is advancing rapidly, which may leave a lot of people and countries behind. He believed that, besides empowerment, we need to find a way to equip people with the skills to participate and make sure that more people share the benefits of AI.
The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
