If the internet had a face
In one word or sentence, how would you define the internet?
At the 2026 World Internet Conference Asia-Pacific Summit held in Hong Kong, voices from different countries and backgrounds come together to share their own definitions of the internet.
Through a mosaic of perspectives, the internet reveals not a single identity, but many. Open, diverse, and constantly evolving, its "face" is shaped by every voice it connects.
The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
