At the press conference for the 2025 World Internet Conference Cultural Heritage Digitalization Forum, Zhang Fenghu, head of the Cyberspace Administration of Xi'an, emphasized that Xi'an will leverage digital advances to promote the creative transformation and innovative development of its historical and cultural heritage, contributing to exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations.
Zhang noted that in recent years, Xi'an has been steadily advancing its strategy of invigorating the city through culture, actively seizing the opportunities brought by digital transformation. The city enjoys distinct advantages in digital protection of cultural heritage, creating digital cultural experience scenarios, and integrating digital technologies into the cultural tourism industry, according to Zhang.
"Xi'an is fully prepared to welcome guests from around the world. We will actively learn from and share successful experiences globally, with the expectation and firm belief that this forum will further facilitate exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations, and contribute to building a community with a shared future in cyberspace," Zhang said.
The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
