The World Internet Conference (WIC) held a press conference in Beijing on Tuesday to introduce the 2025 WIC Cultural Heritage Digitalization Forum, which will be held in Xi'an, Northwest China's Shaanxi province, from Sept 16 to 17. The forum is hosted by the WIC and organized by the People's Government of Shaanxi Province.

Themed "Bridging History Through Digitalization, Building Civilization with Intelligence – Jointly Building a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace," the forum will focus on preservation, utilization and inheritance of cultural heritage through digital technology.

The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
