At the press conference for the World Internet Conference Digital Silk Road Development Forum, Ren Xianliang, secretary-general of the World Internet Conference, outlined how the 2025 forum will spotlight cutting-edge issues in global digital governance and promote cross-border collaboration.
With the theme "Embracing the Digital and Intelligent Maritime Silk Road – Jointly Building a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace", the forum will feature high-level discussions on "Opening and Cooperation on Digital Trade under the Belt and Road Initiative", "AI-empowered High-Quality Development of the Private Economy", and "Digital-Intelligent Transformation and Sustainable Development of International Transport"
These efforts aim to foster inclusive digital development and strengthen dialogue between civilizations in the intelligent era.

The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
