The World Internet Conference (WIC) released its report on Governing AI for Good and for All—Empowering Global Sustainable Development at the Asia-Pacific Summit in Hong Kong on April 14.
Focusing on AI governance and sustainable development, the report presents the global progress, current developments, and existing issues in AI for sustainable development, with a particular emphasis on how inclusive and equitable AI development and governance can help bridge the digital divide and strengthen global AI capacity-building.
The report proposes a series of actions to accelerate AI-driven global sustainable development, aimed at deepening international cooperation in this regard.
The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
