Governing AI for Good and for All—Empowering Global Sustainable Development

The report on "Governing AI for Good and for All — Empowering Global Sustainable Development" is an important outcome of the AI Safety and Governance Program of World Internet Conference Specialized Committee on AI. This report presents the global progress, current developments, and existing issues in AI for sustainable development. It provides explanations from multiple perspectives such as deepening AI governance and international cooperation, expanding international cooperation in AI capacity-building, and bridging the digital divide through inclusive and equitable AI development. Furthermore, it proposes action recommendations to accelerate AI-driven global sustainable development, grounded in deepening international cooperation on AI governance for sustainability, and compiles applications and practical case studies obtained through research as well as contributions from WIC members and experts involved in this joint research . The report aims to serve as a reference for governments, enterprises, and academia, contributing insights and solutions to advance the use of AI in achieving global Sustainable Development Goals.
