The World Internet Conference (WIC) will host the Asia-Pacific Summit in Hong Kong. Organized by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and co-organized by the Hong Kong Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau, the summit will take place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from April 14 to 15, according to a press conference held by the WIC in Beijing on Monday.
At the press briefing, WIC Secretary-General Ren Xianliang announced that under the theme "Integration of AI and Digital Technologies Shaping the Future–Jointly Building a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace," the summit will bring together representatives from government departments, businesses, academia, and research institutions to explore key topics in the digital intelligence era. The event will feature an opening ceremony, a main forum, and three sub-forums on AI, digital finance, and digital government and smart life.
The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
