Professor Bu Wei, an expert with special allowance from the State Council, is a leading figure in the field of media literacy research in China. She has authored the monograph Women and Media—Blue Book Series on Women’s Development in China and published reports such as Research Report on Digital Literacy Building for Rural Women: A Case Study of the “Cyber Mulan” Homestay Manager Training Program and “Digital Empowerment” Shaping Rural Changemakers—A Study on the “Women Up” Project by the China Social Entrepreneur Foundation. She has also been invited to participate in United Nations initiatives advocating for children’s digital rights.
The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
