Keith Fabre Macedo is a student of Control and Automation Engineering at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, where she conducts research on IoT and data science within the context of real-world smart farming applications at LabNet, a laboratory dedicated to tackling public and social issues using IoT and Artificial Intelligence. Additionally, she works as a software developer in the industry, where she is currently developing her graduation project on applying machine learning technologies to combat forest fires. During the 2023 CESAR institute summer internship, Macedo served as the data scientist for her team and contributed to the conceptualization and production of a visual gesture recognition system for emergency signals, designed to improve crime detection in urban environments. She has also conducted research on data fusion for smart cities and IIoT devices. Selected for the Brazilian Youth Initiative in both 2022 and 2024, organized by the Brazilian Internet Steering Committee (CGI.br), she has participated in national and Latin American internet governance events and was a speaker at the 2024 Brazil Internet Forum, presenting on the topics of IoT and ecological preservation.

The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
