Chengdu-made robots provide security and sales at table tennis tournament
A quadruped robot developed by the Chengdu-based University of Electronic Science and Technology of China patrols outside the Sichuan Gymnasium, the venue for the International Table Tennis Federation Mixed Team World Cup 2024, which concluded on Sunday in Chengdu, Sichuan province. The police officers said the robot can walk and run smoothly on complex road conditions and can be equipped with different modules to adapt to various operational scenarios and requirements. It is also equipped with a voice function that allows it to interact with passersby and deliver real time safety messages.
Chuanyu Guardian, an intelligent security robot made by Chinese autonomous driving company Haomo. AI's Chengdu facility, patrolled the gymnasium's concourse, monitoring the surrounding environment in real time and reporting potential safety risks.
The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
