AMD, Golden Arches, Starbucks, Yuewen Group, and Cernet Corporation to join WIC as new members

The sixth meeting of the first Council of the World Internet Conference (WIC) adopted the List of New WIC Members, seeing more members join the WIC organization.

Here is the introduction of new WIC members:

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) 

Founded in Silicon Valley in 1969, AMD is a leading American semiconductor multinational company with its headquarters in Santa Clara, California. Specializing in CPUs, GPUs, and motherboard chips, AMD provides cutting-edge computing solutions for gaming, AI, and cloud computing. With a comprehensive portfolio of training and inference computing engine products, AMD fosters an open AI ecosystem, collaborating with partners to innovate. AMD has secured its position as a top semiconductor manufacturer globally, ranking eighth among global semiconductor manufacturers in 2024.

Golden Arches (McDonald's) 

Established in Chicago，USA in 1955, McDonald's is a global fast-food giant with nearly 40,000 restaurants across over 100 countries, serving more than 68 million customers daily. Consistently ranking in the top 10 of BrandZ's Most Valuable Global Brands, McDonald's China stands as the brand's second-largest market worldwide. Leveraging big data, AI, and IoT, McDonald's China continues to develop localized new retail solutions, enhancing operational efficiency and customer experience through in-house innovations in internet operations, marketing tools, restaurant opening tools, and efficiency diagnostics.

Starbucks Coffee Company 

Starbucks, founded in the United States of America in 1971 and headquartered in Seattle, Washington in 1971, is the world's largest coffee roaster and retailer, and a Fortune Global 500 company in 2024. Since entering the Chinese market in 1999, China has become Starbucks' fastest-growing and largest overseas market. Yuewen Group
