To further create a business environment conducive to the development of the cross-border e-commerce industry and promote successful experiences and best practices, the World Internet Conference (WIC) began a study on cross-border e-commerce competitiveness in early 2024. Supported by its member units and the WIC Working Group on Cross-Border E-Commerce, the research findings were released during the 2024 WIC Wuzhen Summit.

This report focuses on cross-border e-commerce competitiveness among platform enterprises. It analyzes 50 leading global platform enterprises and has developed an indicator system to measure cross-border e-commerce competitiveness. Using official data, industry surveys, and expert interviews, each indicator has been quantified and analyzed, with methods such as the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) having been applied to systematically assess each platform enterprise's competitiveness. The report identifies common practices and case studies of top-performing platform enterprises, offering valuable insights for other businesses to expand their cross-border e-commerce operations, and creating more opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises worldwide.
