To further create a business environment conducive to the development of the cross-border e-commerce industry and promote successful experiences and best practices, the World Internet Conference (WIC) began a study on cross-border e-commerce competitiveness in early 2024. Supported by its member units and the WIC Working Group on Cross-Border E-Commerce, the research findings were released during the 2024 WIC Wuzhen Summit.

This report presents a country-level analysis of cross-border e-commerce competitiveness. It evaluates 55 countries across six continents, using an indicator system to assess competitiveness across two dimensions: business environment and industry competitiveness. By leveraging official data, industry surveys, and expert interviews, each indicator has been quantified and analyzed, with methods such as the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) applied to systematically analyze the data and assess each country's competitiveness. It analyzes the common practices and success stories of countries with competitive advantages, offering valuable insights for the development of cross-border e-commerce industries worldwide, and supporting inclusive and sustainable globalization.
