Global Youth Leadership Program (GYLP)

The Global Youth Leadership Program, a key initiative of WIC, empowers youth in the internet field worldwide. 

Launched in 2023, GYLP has gathered exceptional young talents from 85 countries and regions. In 2024, the second cohort includes young leaders from 17 nations across five continents! They’ll join the Youth and Digital Future Forum to share insights on internet development and governance.

WIC is committed to fostering an inclusive and dynamic global youth community, collaborating on a shared future in cyberspace.

WIC Digital Academy Program Launch

On November 20, 2024, the World Internet Conference (WIC) will launch its Digital Academy Program at the Wuzhen Summit! This initiative embodies WIC’s vision of a shared future in cyberspace, focusing on global capacity building and bridging the digital divide, especially for developing nations.

Through its Global Elite Training session, the program brings together participants from both public and private sectors to enhance digital literacy and empower digital transformation. The WIC Digital Academy aims to drive inclusive digital progress and foster a stronger digital economy for all.

WIC Think Tank Cooperation Program

On November 20, 2024, the World Internet Conference (WIC) will officially launch its Think Tank Cooperation Program at the Wuzhen Summit! This initiative brings 60 global internet think tanks together to build a collaborative platform for dialogue and research on vital internet issues like tech innovation, industrial growth, and cybersecurity.

Through this program, think tanks worldwide will come together to generate insights, reports, and proposals aimed at fostering an open, inclusive, and prosperous cyberspace that benefits all.

WIC Specialized Committee on Artificial Intelligence

On November 20, 2024, the World Internet Conference (WIC) establishes the Specialized Committee on AI at the Wuzhen Summit. This committee brings together experts from universities, think tanks, industry associations, and enterprises to lead discussions on AI standards, safety, governance, and industry growth.

The SC on AI aims to foster international cooperation and sustainable progress in AI through regular symposiums, research sharing, and development of best practices. This initiative marks a significant step toward a collaborative, safe, and forward-looking AI ecosystem.

The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
