During the preparation and convening of the 2024 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit, to ensure the orderly use of various radio frequencies and proper operation of every radio equipment and radio station, relevant matters are announced as below to minimize harmful radio interference:

First, during the preparation and convening of the 2024 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit, any individual or organization that needs to use the types of radio equipment on the restriction list at the conference venues or in other designated areas, must submit an application to the Information Work Dept. of the Conference Committee.

For radio equipment that has been granted administrative license, the Information Work Dept. may temporarily limit or adjust its working frequency or other technical parameters of based on management needs.

Any individual or organization that needs to use radio equipment that require administrative license as prescribed by laws and regulations, can apply to the Information Work Dept., which will subsequently assist in completing the approval procedures with the Economy and Information Technology Department of Zhejiang.

For radio equipment that does not require administrative license, the Information Work Dept. will manage the use of such equipment to prevent mutual interference.

Second, the aforementioned types of radio equipment shall be sent to the location for radio service designated by the Information Work Dept. for on-site inspection before being put into use at the conference venues or in other designated areas. For those equipment or stations which are difficult to move, appointment can be made for on-site inspection. The Information Work Dept. will attach the special label “Radio Equipment Access” to the equipment or stations which have passed the inspection. Radio equipment and radio stations can only be operated in certain areas, during certain time and within certain technical scope as specified on the label. Radio equipment without the “Radio Equipment Access” label is  not permitted to enter the conference venues or other designated areas.

Third, application or the "Radio Equipment Access" label are not needed for using mobile phones with cellular networks or wireless Internet cards, Bluetooth headphones, laptops and tablet PCs with built-in internet and Wi-Fi, automobile remote keys, wireless camera shutter release, or other similar devices at the conference venues or other designated areas.

Fourth, for radio transmitting equipment which is intended to enter China temporarily during the preparation and convening of the 2024 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit and requires an approval document for entry as prescribed by laws and regulations, the approval document shall be obtained from the Economy and Information Technology Department of Zhejiang before being used at the conference venues or other designated areas. The equipment shall be shipped out according to customs regulations afterwards.

Fifth, this Notice will be implemented from Nov. 11 and abolished automatically when the 2024 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit concludes.
