The World Internet Conference (WIC) is willing to strengthen cooperation with the Confederation of Young Leaders (CYL) and support it in hosting internet-related events, said Ren Xianliang, secretary-general of the WIC. Ren made the remark when he met with the President of the CYL Himadrish Suwan, on Aug 12 in Beijing.

During the meeting, Ren expressed the hope to strengthen cooperation with the CYL and enhance exchanges with leading internet enterprises, organizations, and industry experts in India. He also invited Suwan to attend the 2024 WIC Wuzhen Summit.

Noting that the WIC plays a significant role in promoting global internet governance and digital innovation as a remarkable platform for global exchange and cooperation in the digital age, Suwan stated that the CYL is willing to enhance cooperation with the WIC. He also pledged to encourage more outstanding Indian youth to participate in WIC events and welcomed WIC to hold events in India.

The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
