The 2024 (23rd) China Internet Conference opened at the China National Convention Center in Beijing on Tuesday.
The three-day event featured a comprehensive program including conferences, exhibitions, competitions and special activities, covering topics such as artificial intelligence, industrial internet, data elements, computing power, digital governance and data security.
Industry experts, executives and government officials gathered at the conference to reflect on China's Internet achievements over the past three decades since its connection to the global network, and to discuss the future of the internet industry.
The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
