The information meeting of the 2024 World Internet Conference Awards for Pioneering Science and Technology (WIC Awards) and Practice Cases of Jointly Building a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace (Practice Cases) was held in Beijing on April 9. More than 170 representatives from government departments, enterprises, universities, and think tanks attended the meeting.
The WIC Awards and Practice Cases are two major events of the World Internet Conference (WIC) Wuzhen Summit, engaging in promoting global technological innovation in the internet field, strengthening international exchanges and cooperation, and advancing the building of a community with a shared future in cyberspace.

The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
