In 2019, hundreds of achievements from countries and regions including China, the US, Germany, the UK, Sweden and Russia were submitted to the event. These achievements came from various fields related to the Internet, including basic theories, technologies, products, and business models, focusing on such technological categories as AI, 5G, big data, cloud computing, digital manufacturing, and industrial internet.
On Oct 20, the 2019 Release Ceremony for World Leading Internet Scientific and Technological Achievements was held in Wuzhen, East China’s Zhejiang province, where the owners of the 15 leading technological achievements presented their projects.
The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
