The secretariat of the World Internet Conference (WIC) held a planning meeting on the 2023 WIC Wuzhen Summit on April 11, in Beijing. Representatives from WIC member companies, such as Intel, IBM, Tesla, Coca-Cola, Qualcomm, SAP, Nokia, and Lego (listed in no particular order), attended the meeting.
The representatives discussed the theme, topics, and highlight activities of the conference based on the new characteristics of and trends in internet development and governance, taking into account the important milestone of the Wuzhen Summit's 10-year history.
The attendees agreed that the Wuzhen Summit, after ten years of development, has become an important platform for showcasing internet technology, exchanging industry information, and promoting project cooperation, which attracts wide global attention.
They said they will fully support and actively participate in the various activities, and work together to make this summit a dazzling and grand global internet event.
The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
