The 2022 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit successfully concluded on Nov 11 in Wuzhen, East China's Zhejiang province.

Francis Gurry, vice chairman of the World Internet Conference, gave a speech via video link at the 2022 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit.

"Business and commerce have been transformed as new markets, have become accessible by virtual of the Internet, with the consequence also enabling consumers to have access to goods and services that would otherwise have been unavailable or beyond their reach. Communication between persons, institutions and communities has been enabled with a reliability, speed, and scope that far exceeds that of previous telecommunication technologies," Gurry said.

The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
