Joint Rumor-Debunking Platform for China Internet

Introduction:

To build a clean network, it is imperative to uproot online fake news according to the law, and to guard against the spread of false information. In this session, issues, such as "trust and security"(Global challenges and solutions to false information against the backdrop of the Covid-19 pandemic), "truth and responsibility"(How the media should guard against the spread of fake news online), and "joint management and shared benefits" (How we can work together to dispel online rumors and share the benefits of a clean network), will be discussed. Representatives from government departments, domestic and overseas media, the academia, social media platforms and international journalists' associations, are invited to discuss these issues in a bid to take the initiative to disseminate the truth and enhance cooperation on clearing up fake news online. The purpose of the forum is to build a law-based and clean network, and to promote joint contribution and shared benefits in cyberspace.
