Vaughan Smith, vice president of Facebook, said at the conference that the company is excited about business in China, which may include helping Chinese companies and promoting tourism products.
He added that Facebook will focus primarily on expanding its platform.

Bruce Sewell, Senior Vice President of Apple Inc., said at the conference that the development of Internet is based on trust and whole-hearted cooperation is needed between government and all companies related.
He said Apple will continue to ensure transparency by showing users risks such as downloading from an unreliable website and contain data leak or theft by setting boundaries for information access.
The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
