Liu Yang, director of the China Cultural Heritage Information and Consulting Center (Data Center of the State Administration Cultural Heritage), delivered a keynote speech titled "Empowering the High-Quality Development of Cultural Heritage with Artificial Intelligence" at the Forum on Digital Preservation and Transmission of Cultural Heritage during the World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit.

Liu said that the digitalization of cultural heritage is a crucial way to foster a thriving cultural sector, develop the cultural industry and strengthen cultural confidence.

He noted that the wave of digitalization is reshaping how cultural heritage is preserved and inherited. "Standing at a new historical starting point, we bear the mission of safeguarding, carrying forward and showcasing China's civilization through information-based approaches," Liu added.


The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
