The Main Forum of the 2025 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit was held on Nov 7 in the historic water town of Wuzhen, East China's Zhejiang province. The Main Forum featured a series of insightful speeches that stimulated thoughtful discussions among attendees.

Distinguished guests shared valuable insights. Francis Gurry, vice-chair of the World Internet Conference and former director-general of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), highlighted the WIC's role as an incubator for global policy making; Li Junhua, under-secretary-general for Economic and Social Affairs of the United Nations, urged collective efforts toward a safer, more inclusive digital future; Sean Stein, president of the US-China Business Council, portrayed businesses as both bridge builders and navigators in the digital era; Fang Rong, chair of ZTE Corporation, emphasized that openness and cooperation remain essential paths forward; Lovneesh Chanana, senior vice-president, SAP Asia Pacific, stressed the importance of scalable and responsible AI development; while Nii Narku Quaynor, chairman of Ghana Dot Com and inductee of the Internet Hall of Fame, looked forward to enhanced technical cooperation and knowledge transfer through the WIC.

The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
