On the afternoon of November 6, 2025, the Award Ceremony of World Internet Conference Awards for Pioneering Science and Technology was held in Wuzhen, Zhejiang Province. Zhuang Rongwen, Director of the Cyberspace Administration of China and Chair of World Internet Conference (WIC), Francis Gurry, Vice-Chair of WIC, Wang Jingtao, Deputy Director of the Cyberspace Administration of China, Ren Xianliang, Secretary-General of WIC, and Lu Shan, Vice Governor of Zhejiang Provincial People's Government attended the event and presented trophies and commemorative certificates to the representatives of the award-winning projects and to those recognized for excellence in organization.

Wu Hequan, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Chair of Review Committee of the Pioneering Science and Technology Awards, gave a speech at the ceremony and announced the list of winning projects. Representatives of the 17 award-winning projects delivered live presentations, sharing cutting-edge technological innovations in the Internet field.

As international science and technology awards in the Internet field and initiated by WIC, an international organization, the World Internet Conference Awards for Pioneering Science and Technology are designed to recognize annually the most pioneering Internet-related scientific and technological achievements, promote international exchange and cooperation in Internet technologies, and establish a high-calibre, innovative platform for showcasing and sharing the cutting-edge Internet achievements from around the globe. In 2025, the awards garnered extensive attention and active participation from the global Internet community, receiving over 420 submissions across three categories of basic research, key technology and engineering research and development from 34 countries and regions, fully demonstrating the vitality of global collaborative innovation in science and technology.
