I. Overview

1. What are the dates and agenda for this year's Summit?

The 2025 World Internet Conference (WIC) Wuzhen Summit will be held from November 6 to 9, 2025. Please follow WIC official website or WeChat account for the latest updates.

November 6: Guest arrival and registration day.

November 7: Opening ceremony will be held in the morning and Main Forum in the afternoon.

November 8: Sub-forums will be held throughout the day.

November 9: Some sub-forums, Global Internet Competition of "Straight to Wuzhen" Awards Ceremony and the Closing ceremony Press Conference will be held in the morning.

NB. For the guests who will be invited to participate in an event on November 6, specific arrangements will be notified separately.

2. Where will the Summit be held?

The Summit will be held at the Wuzhen International Internet Exhibition & Convention Center, located in the Xizha Scenic Area of Wuzhen Town, Tongxiang, Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province.

3. What is the official language of the Summit?

Chinese and English

4. Are interpretation services provided?

Yes. The Opening Ceremony will offer simultaneous interpretation in five languages: Chinese, English, French, Spanish, and Russian.

All other sessions will provide Chinese–English simultaneous interpretation.

5. Will an electronic conference handbook be provided?

Yes. An electronic conference handbook will be provided and published on the WIC official website before the Summit.

II. Participation

6. In what capacities can participants attend the Summit?

Guests can attend all Summit events, including the Opening Ceremony, Main Forum, Sub-forums (no invitations required), the Award Ceremony for Pioneering Science and Technology, the Release and Presentation of Outstanding Cases of "Jointly Building a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace, " "The Light of Internet" Expo, the Award Ceremony of "Straight to Wuzhen" Global Internet Competition, and all other side events.

Invited Audience can participate mainly in designated events and may attend additional sessions as circumstances permit.

Online Audience can watch live broadcasts of selected sub-forums and side events through WIC online platforms.

7. How do guests complete registration? What is the deadline?

Step 1: Invited guests will receive a unique invitation code.

Step 2: After receiving the code, please log in to the registration system and complete your personal attendance information.

Deadline: 15:00 on October 28, 2025

8. How do invited audience register? What is the deadline?

Members should submit their information through the Member Center system. Other invited audience will receive a link from the organizer to provide registration details and apply for badges.

Deadline: 15:00 on October 28, 2025

9. How do online audience register? What is the deadline?

Please submit your name, position, and contact information to the organizer to complete registration.

Deadline: 15:00 on November 5, 2025

10. What is the purpose of submitting a Chinese and English resume during registration?

Guest resumes assist the organizer in arranging reception and logistics. Please provide complete and accurate information.

III. Summit Badge

11. What types of badges are there for the Summit?

Two types of badges are issued: Guest Badge and Invited Audience Badge.

12. Is the badge required to enter the venue?

Yes. Throughout the summit, all participants are required to wear their badges whenever entering and exiting the venues and scenic areas. Kindly ensure that your badge is kept safe.

13. Where and when to register and obtain the badge? 

Registration starts at 9:00 on November 6. The badges can be collected at the designated registration area. 

Guests can collect their badges at the registration desk with their ID cards or passports used during the online registration.

Invited Audience may contact the liaison in charge of your registration channel to get your badge or collect your badge at the front desk of the designated hotel. Please refer to the official notice for further details.

Note: Guest attending an event on November 6 will receive separate instructions.

IV. Transportation Arrangements

14. Is shuttle service provided?

Yes. The organizer will arrange shuttle transportation between airports, railway stations, hotels, and the venue.

15. What are the recommended travel routes to Wuzhen?

By Air: Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport (HGH) is recommended. Alternatives include Shanghai Hongqiao (SHA) and Pudong International Airports (PVG). 

By High-Speed Rail: Hangzhou East Railway Station or Tongxiang Railway Station.

Estimated Travel Time:

Tongxiang Station → Wuzhen: about 40 minutes (by shuttle bus)

Xiaoshan Airport / Hangzhou East → Wuzhen: about 1 hour (by shuttle bus)

Shanghai → Wuzhen: about 2 hours (by shuttle bus)

16. What are the shuttle service hours?

Pick-up: 08:00 on November 6 – 24:00 on November 8

Drop-off: 13:00 on November 7 – 18:00 on November 9

Note: Guests participating in an event on November 6 will receive separate arrangements.

17. Where are the shuttle pick-up/drop-off points?

Hangzhou East Railway Station

Tongxiang High-Speed Railway Station

Shanghai Hongqiao Transportation Hub

Shanghai Pudong International Airport

Note: As the Wuzhen Summit coincides with the China International Import Expo(CIIE), traffic may be heavy. Guests are advised to prioritize the first three shuttle points: Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport, Hangzhou East Railway Station, and Tongxiang Station.

18. How to access shuttle information?

Please refer to the WIC's official website for the shuttle services and updates.

19. Is self-driving allowed?

Private vehicles must park at the Wuzhen Ziye West Road Parking Lot. From there, guests can take shuttles to their hotels and the venue.

20. Can I apply for a vehicle pass to enter the scenic area?

No. Due to Wuzhen's unique water-town environment, external vehicles are not permitted inside the scenic area, and no vehicle passes will be issued.

V. Accommodation and Meals

21. Do guests need to book their own hotels?

No. The organizers will arrange accommodation for all registered guests. A dedicated staff will contact you for detailed reception arrangements.

22. Schedule and accommodation details (provided by the organizers)

Based on the Xizha Scenic Area's access hours, the organizer will cover 4 days (3 nights) of accommodation and meal from November 6 to 9.

Check-in: After 9:00 on November 6

Note: Guests attending an event on November 6 may check in after 14:00 on November 5.

Check-out: Before 12:00 on November 9

Note: For rehearsal personnel arriving earlier, please confirm accommodation details with the event organizers. Such arrangements fall outside the unified summit plan.

23. Can guests choose their own hotel?

No. Guest accommodations are centrally arranged by the organizers.

24. Do invited audience need to book their own hotels?

The organizers have reserved hotels in Wuzhen Town and Puyuan Town for invited audience. The respective event liaisons will assist with booking. Accommodation and meals are self-paid. (Shuttle buses will operate between these hotels and the venue)

25. How are meals arranged during the Summit?

Guests should dine at the venues indicated on their meal vouchers, which will be provided during check-in.

26. Are Halal meals available?

Yes. Halal meals will be available at the Bibo Lang Restaurant, located in the Zhenshui Hotel, throughout the conference period.

27. Friendly reminder

The paths within Wuzhen's Xizha Scenic Area are stone-paved. Comfortable, walking-friendly shoes are recommended.

Weather conditions in November may vary, with occasional drops in temperature. Please dress appropriately and bring warm clothing.

It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
