
The World Internet Conference Digital Academy (WICDA) will host the 2025 World Internet Conference (WIC) Global Elite Training during the 2025 WIC Wuzhen Summit, which is set to take place from Nov 6 to 9.
Focusing on the digital economy and sustainable development, the program will bring together a distinguished faculty of experts, scholars, and entrepreneurs from international organizations, renowned universities, and leading enterprises. Through lectures and practical case studies, it aims to help participants—particularly senior government and enterprise representatives from developing countries—enhance their digital literacy and risk management capabilities in the era of artificial intelligence, while contributing to narrowing the global digital divide.
Since the start of targeted enrollment, the program has already attracted applications from government officials in more than 20 countries, including Pakistan, Tajikistan, Saudi Arabia, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Myanmar, and Mongolia. The program is now open for global registration, with a limited number of spots available.
Participants will have the opportunity to:
- Engage with leading experts, scholars, and entrepreneurs in the global internet sector
- Study alongside government officials from around the world, building cooperation contacts
- Attend the Release and Presentation of Outstanding Cases of Jointly Building a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace and the Award Ceremony of WIC Awards for Pioneering Science and Technology, gaining first-hand insights into global best practices in digital innovation
- Join guided tours of the Light of Internet Expo and the Wuzhen World Internet Science and Technology Museum to experience cutting-edge internet technologies
- Receive an official graduation certificate issued by the WIC

The WICDA was officially launched in November 2024 to focus on key areas of the digital development. Their goal is to conduct training programs globally, especially for developing countries, to cultivate digital talents, empowering governments and enterprises in their digital transformation, bridging the global digital divide, and fostering the shared benefits of inclusive development.
The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
