Egyptian museum director calls for global collaboration in digitalized cultural heritage preservation
At the 2025 World Internet Conference Cultural Heritage Digitalization Forum, Eltayeb Sayed Abass Adris, managing executive director of the authority of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, advocated for global collaboration in leveraging digital technologies for cultural heritage preservation.
"Digital tech offers unprecedented opportunities to transcend geographical boundaries and time, ensuring cultural heritage is preserved and shared for generations," he stated, emphasizing the urgency of joint efforts in this field.
The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
