WIC to hold dialogue on digital civilization at birthplace of Confucius             

A press conference on the World Internet Conference (WIC) Nishan Dialogue on Digital Civilization was held in Beijing on June 16, during which the basic information, preparatory work and highlights of the event were introduced.The Nishan Dialogue will be held from June 25 to 27 in Nishan, Qufu, Jining, East China’s Shandong province. With the theme of “The Age of AI: Building a Digital World of Exchanges, Mutual Learning and Inclusiveness”, the dialogue will focus on such topics as "Building a Secure and Trusted AI", "AI Empowering Industries", and "Where Human Civilizations Go in the AI Era", discussing how to lead the development of digital world in the future with the help of AI technology.

WIC unveils Zhejiang Office in Wuzhen

The World Internet Conference (WIC) Zhejiang Office was officially unveiled on Thursday in Wuzhen, Tongxiang city, East China’s Zhejiang province. It is the first representative agency set up by the WIC, signifying a significant leap forward and the beginning of a new chapter for the organization.

Researchers from the University of Pennsylvania have proposed a new design for lightweight two-dimensional transition metal halide solar cells in the latest issue of a journal related with devices. These batteries are enhanced through a superlattice structure, increasing solar absorption and boosting efficiency from 5 percent to 12 percent, making them highly suitable for space applications.

South Korea to introduce AI textbooks in primary and secondary schools by 2025

To meet the growing demand for diverse learning content among teachers and students, South Korea will introduce AI textbooks in primary and secondary school classrooms by 2025. According to relevant departments in South Korea, AI-backed digital textbooks can observe students' comprehensive learning levels in real-time and provide targeted teaching.
