IBM
Michelle Guo
"Experience is a gift."
Having been with IBM for more than 20 years, Michelle Guo never regards gender as an obstacle or something that could restrict her career. In her life, she has a warm family and a lovely child, at workplace, she is resolute, enthusiastic and open-minded.
Now she is in charge of the financial sector, the core business of IBM China. Over the past 20 years, she and her team have accompanied and witnessed the growth and achievements of many partners in the financial industry, playing a part in the transformation of core bank architecture, the reshaping of process banking, and the exploration and application of blockchain and artificial intelligence. They have also spent a lot of sleepless nights in securing critical systems.
Of course, there was sweat and tears throughout the journey, but she knows how to turn them into strength. She is calm and witty in the face of difficulty, and never hesitates to seize opportunities. She is always the one who is ready. On the International Women's Day, she wishes every woman in the world to have dreams in their heart and fire in the eyes.
